Edtech UK & Edtech Incubator
Partners: Tech City UK & London & Partners
Our Edtech Incubator programme was set up in March 2013 in partnership with Tech City UK, to help build the edtech startup ecosystem in London and across the UK and help support educators and entrepreneurs take their innovative ventures to scale. From startups to ideas and projects from schools, colleges, universities and more established companies, the programme consists of the following phases of work: regular edtech club networking events, edtech accelerator programmes and developing edtech clusters around cities and regions across the UK.
Our Edtech Incubator has now been absorbed into Edtech UK – a new strategic body set up to accelerate the growth of the UK’s edtech sector, which launched in Autumn 2015. More details are available on our Edtech UK website

In 2014 we kick started a new programme of work with Facebook’s EMEA team to create a Facebook for Educators network of leading schools, colleges, universities, an online toolkit, the production and launch of the Facebook Guide for Educators in Spain and we are now looking to roll out the Facebook for Educators programme internationally.
The Learning Lab
Partner: Skype
The Learning Lab was designed as a unique space in the centre of London – as a combination of: an innovation lab for teachers, an inspiring events and showcasing space for businesses across London and a laboratory and studio space, available to pilot new approaches to the curriculum, run innovative projects and conduct research.
The Learning Lab project ran for a year from from 2012 – 2013 in the ‘Hub Westminster’ in Haymarket, London and was visited by the Prime Minister David Cameron as well as thousands of educators, policy makers and leading businesses from around the world.
Teacherlab
Partner: Ormiston Academies Trust
Our first project ‘Teacherlab’ was a collaboration between a leading academy chain and focused on looking at radically new approaches to continuing professional development. We worked with Ormiston Sandwell Academy to redesign an existing space at the heart of the school and turned it into a state of the art professional development centre, accessible to teachers to test out new ideas in a safe space. The evaluations of the project were very positive and we are delighted to be setting up our second Lab in London in Autumn of 2013 at London Nautical School. More details about the teacherlab project can be found here.
