Our aim is to develop and scale up a number of innovative projects that help to solve major  challenges affecting the education system.

Edtech incubator

Our latest flagship project is the Edtech Incubator – the UK’s first national education technology accelerator programme with the aim of taking great edtech ideas to scale. From startups to ideas and projects from schools, colleges, universities and more established companies, the programme consists of the following phases of work: an edtech club, an accelerator programme and a new venture philanthropy fund. The Learning Lab

The Learning Lab was designed as  unique combination of: an inspiring events and showcasing space for education leaders and businesses across the UK and internationally and a classroom, laboratory and studio space, available to pilot new approaches to the curriculum, run innovative projects and conduct research.

The Learning Lab is located in the ‘Hub Westminster’ in Haymarket, London, within 2 minutes walking distance of Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Whitehall and accessible from every mainline transport link. The Lab is ideal for hosting central London events and showcases for new products, services and innovations across the education sector.

Teacherlab

Our first project ‘Teacherlab’ was a collaboration between a leading academy chain and focused on looking at radically new approaches to continuing professional development. We worked with Ormiston Sandwell Academy to redesign an existing space at the heart of the school and turned it into  a state of the art professional development centre, accessible to teachers to test out new ideas in a safe space. The evaluations of the project were very positive and we are delighted to be setting up our second Lab in London in Autumn of 2013 at London Nautical School.
