Ty Goddard is the Co-founder of The Education Foundation and Chair of Edtech UK – a new strategic body launching in the Autumn of 2015 to accelerate the edtech sector in Britain and globally. He is recognised as one of the UK’s leading experts on education reform and is a regular commentator on the future of education in the media.
Ty worked as an adviser to the Department for Education on Extended Schools and was Founder and Director of the British Council for School Environments; Managing Director of the award winning design company School Works; and Strategic Community Manager at Brighton and Hove City Council.
Before this he was an elected Chair of Education at Lambeth Council and worked as the UK and European Political Advisor for the NSPCC; National Campaigns Co-ordinator for SCOPE; and as a Researcher for the Social Market Foundation. He was voted onto the Evening Standard 1000 most influential people in London list for 3 years and is also a Tech London Advocate.
