Ian Fordham is the Co-founder of The Education Foundation.

He was previously Deputy Director of the British Council for School Environments; Policy Director at the extended schools and learning charity ContinYou; and Head of Training and Professional Development at the after school charity Education Extra. He has also worked for the Charity Commission and is a former secondary school teacher.

Ian is a recognised thought leader on the future of education, learning and policy development and has worked as a national advisor to a number of national and global companies in the education and technology sector. He has also worked on international projects including collaborations with Harvard University’s Graduate School for Education and Cisco’s Global Education Leaders network.

Ian grew up in Wimborne, Dorset and studied at the University of Nottingham and Manchester Metropolitan University.
