David is Associate Director, Partnerships at The Education Foundation.
He is currently Director of International Baccalaureate (IB) and Director of Educational Enterprises at Wellington College. At Wellington he is responsible for overseeing the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme, and he is also the Director of the Sunday Times Festival of Education, one of the top educational events in the UK’s calendar.
David has previously been head of English at Haileybury College in Hertfordshire, and was also a governor in a local comprehensive. He is also Editor in Chief of Cambridge University Press’s new online resources for IB teachers, as well as an author for A level and IB English resources. He is currently writing a complete guide to the IB for Bloomsbury Education. He regularly advises schools, both in the UK and overseas, on making curriculum changes at 14 – 16, and 16 – 18.
He grew up in Wales and completed his PhD on nineteenth century literature at King’s College, London.
